Third Time’s the Charm
They say third time’s the charm and so far, with twin boys and a smooth entrance into the second year of their marriage, Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller seem to be proving the adage right. Their lives have been on an upward swing since they met in 2006, and already it appears that these two are already moving forward in life together.
The two lovers were first introduced to one another by real-life spouses Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane, both successful television actors just like Charlie Sheen. At the time, Sheen was in the middle of a tumultuous and highly public divorce.
Brooke Mueller, on the other hand, was an actress trying to make a name for herself. Using her screen name Brooke Allen she had only a handful of acting credits to her name. She has since left the entertainment scene and moved on to a career as a real estate investor.
Amid the wild and crazy goings-on in Sheen’s life, the two still managed to lead a fairly quiet dating relationship for the early months of 2007. By the time July of that year, Charlie sheen proposed to Brooke at a Costa Rican beach. As for the ring, it was a platinum, 11-carat yellow diamond ring designed by famed London jeweler Lord Alon Barak.
They would wed a year later in rites at Los Angeles, on May 30, 2008. Mueller was 30 years and Sheen 42. It was a simple ceremony with 60 guests, and Charlie’s third trip down the aisle since. The honeymoon was at Costa Rica, where Charlie proposed.
Much unlike his previous marriages, Charlie Sheen’s marriage with Mueller has been quite tranquil and warm. In an OK Magazine quote, he said that he said to friends “…this feels like my first real marriage… this one is the real deal.”
